Sunday Snippet : Chirps from a little red hen

Todays Sunday Snippet features Eimear from Chirps from a little red hen. I follow Eimear on a weekly basis. I love how versatile the blog is. Eimear is a stay at home mam so it will suit all the busy mams out there. It ranges from easter crafts, to skincare, rugby, just to name a few. It has something for everyone. Check out Eimear's interview below and all her social media links.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I'm a 30 something (plus!!) mum, a happy wife and mum of two under 4! My career is as a “stay at home mum” and it’s the best job in the world. Payment comes in hugs, kisses and a tantrum or two!
Since becoming a mum my focus on life has changed. Prior to our family, I wanted to climb the ranks within the hospitality industry and on meeting my husband that all changed.
While my full-time “job” is as a mum and always will be, I’ve plans to add more to my career!!

2.  How did you get into blogging and why?

My blogging initially began with mummypages when I approached them in 2014 and you can read about it here. While still writing for mummypages I began my own blog as it was on my mind for some time and Chirps from a Little Red Hen was born!
My reason for beginning the blog was my missed love of writing from my teenage years and also I wanted to share my “Clucks and Downs” as a stay at home mum!

3. What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?

When I’m not working on my blog, my time revolves around a routine of feeding, napping, and bedtimes ... not for me but my son and daughter and then cleaning out home!! When they’re in bed by 7pm I hope that they both sleep soundly until 7am so I can get some me time but that’s not always the case!

4. Are you a full time blogger? How did you get into blogging and why?

I suppose I am in a way in that I don’t have a Monday – Friday, 9-5 job! As a “stay at home mum” while it’s 24 hours it’s important to be able to get “Me” time and to engage your brain in something else. I really enjoy blogging as it helps break up my routine day.

5. How do you keep coming up with content for your blog?

Honestly, there are times, I’ve no problem but when I feel as I near a day when I’m due to write a post, I can sometimes feel pressure with no ideas and then from somewhere I read something, somebody says something or when I see something I’m inspired to write!

6. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?

While I’m relatively new to blogging I’m still finding more blogs to follow and my series #MeetTheBloggers is a great way for me to learn more about the different bloggers that take part.
I feel very lucky as a “newbie” blogger to be supported by not only family and friends but also some fantastic fellow bloggers such as Hope from a Butterfly, LilliWhiteRose and Where is my mind gone?
I know there are more I can add for different reasons. Also, I’ve more I’ve yet to discover out there which is a journey I’m looking forward to.

7. Name the top blogs you read?

These are just some that I follow on a weekly basis.

8.What makes you read the above blogs?

There’s a variety of reasons why I read their blogs but I suppose the primary reason is honesty and positivity.

9. Tell us something we don't know about you?

Something you may not know about me is that I’ve a keen passion for cooking. I love to experiment with food. It’s tougher since my kids came along. Our mealtimes have changed in that the spice is reduced for the kids as they’re not big fans. Also, when you’ve a 3 year who’s going through a fussy phase you tend to plan your meals around that!

10. Link us to all of your social media platforms.

Now wasn't that well worth taking the time to read. I love Eimear's blog and i always spend some time to give it a good read. Check her out on all her links above.
