Vichy Normaderm

Recently I was gifted this new offering from Vichy – the Night Detox Treatment from their Normaderm range, which is pretty much Vichy’s answer to the best-selling cult product, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus. I was gifted this by the lovely Sandra in the Waterford Health Park Pharmacy. It's loaded with really effective blemish and acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid and zinc. This is designed to target excess sebum production overnight, since that’s when skin produces the greatest volume of sebum, which can clog pores and lead to infection. From the ingredients list, this does contain salicylic acid and silica for oil absorption. Night Detox is a cream designed for use on adult skin that fights against the over-production of sebum that results in a dull, blemished complexion upon awaking. Vichy claim that by using Night Detox you will be waking up in the morning with a clear, radiant complexion every morning.

Night Detox is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, oil free and contains no parabens. It is also suitable for sensitive skin and contains Vichy’s Thermal Spa Water. It comes packaged in a long, squeezy, shiny forest-green tube that holds 40ml of product. It has a nozzle at the end of the tube in which the cream dispenses out of. The cream itself is white and quite thickish in texture. The cream does spread easily across the face. Overall though it is quick and easy to use, which makes it suitable for a fast-paced routine.

The other claim by Vichy is that Night Detox provides a clean sensation. I will agree with this comment. Once applied you will definitely feel that clean sensation. It’s a lovely refreshment at the end of the day that is still present when you wake up! If you suffer with blemishes and/or oily skin, I definitely recommend that you check this out. It is available locally in Waterford Health Park Pharmacy, and selected pharmacies nationwide.

Have you ever tried any of the Normaderm range? What are your favourite skin clearing products?
