On Thursday night last I attended another fabulous event in Urban Decay Waterford, for anyone who doesn't know where it is, it's located in Debenhams right before the escalators, it's very hard to miss it. Anyway I was invited to another blogger night but this time it was to launch there new holiday products and the new Vice Palette. I had seen pictures of the Vice online but was so excited to see it up close and personal as it's only then can you appreciate the true pigment of Urban Decay. Did you know that Urban Decay has been voted the No 1 Pigmented shadow, beating the likes of Make Up Geek, Mac and Inglot. After the last event I bought the Naked Smoky and I can already feel some purchases coming on for the new releases!
Onto the event, we were greeted by the lovely Laura from Urban Decay. Laura is a fabulous MUA and i love her work. Check her out here . All the lovely ladies were given some prosecco and sweeties. You always feel so nice when in there. Laura then introduced us to the new Vice Palette. This looks amazing, the pigments are so strong but theres a colour in there for everyone. It contains 20 shadows which are a range of satin, mattes and micro glitters. It is retailing at €49 and is available from the 29th October. It works out at €2.50 per eyeshadow which is unreal value for Urban Decay eyeshadows.
I absolutely love the look of bitter which is quite similar to the famous Riff, framed looks to be a great transistional colour. The micro glitters fast ball, 1985, robbery and flame look amazing. Laura did a demo using the palette and the look she created was lovely. It's easy to see how much of a hit this palette is going to be. It really is so versatile. Everything you need is in it. You can create a lovely smokey eye, a bright eye, a subtle eye and a daring eye, what more could you want! You get Bones (oyster satin), Grip (taupe matte), Deadbeat (black satin with microglitter), Pandemonium (metallic plum with microglitter), Framed (light neutral matte satin), Fast ball (metallic peachy pink with microglitter), 1985 (metallic fuchsia with microglitter),Underhand (burgundy brown satin), Harlot (metallic lavender), Discreet (soft dusty mauve matte), Grasshopper(metallic emerald with microglitter), C-Note (frosted green with micrglitter), Arctic (bright teal), Robbery (deep metallic brown), Bitter (reddish brown matte), Flame (bright orange with micro glitter), Low (matte brown with some glitter), Crowbar (black with gold pearl and microglitter) and Delete (deep chestnut brown satin).
Now onto the new Christmas delights which are on the way from the 5th November. I have my eye on so many of these its not funny. I'll be broke lol!
First up is the Duo Pack of Setting Sprays, these are retailing for €39, this is super value as there basically 2 for the price of 1. Normally retailing at €29 each, 2 for €39 is fab value. This setting spray is the only thing out there that prevents make up meltdown. Makeup can last up to 24 hours when wearing this. Laura showed us a cool trick. On both her arms she swatched the Flushed palette, and on one arm only she sprayed the All nighter Setting Spray. After letting it sink in, she rubbed both hands, and the one with the spray did not budge. Have a look below to see this.
As you can see there is barely any trace on the left hand where she used no spray, it literally just rubbed off, whereas the right hand with the spray on is still perfect. These sprays are defo on my shopping list. Available from the 5th November on all Urban Decay Counters.
Next up is the Naked Illuminated Powder in Tilt, oh i fell in love with this, this champagne illuminator gives you a sexy just finished flush. It's that perfect colour and will accentuate and draw attention to features on any skin tone. I love how rich it looks. This retails at €28 and is available from the 5th of November. It really looks like the perfect highlighter.
Who doesnt love Eyeliner sets? Well Urban Decay have released 2 different eyeliner sets this year. Cosmic contains 5 travel size versatile super wearable hues, three new shades, one exclusive and the best selling black. This is a limited edition set and it won't last long on the shelves. They deliver extra long wear and waterproof colour. I love my black one of these, it's fabulous on and never fails to deliver. Cosmic retails at around €26 which is good value for 5 travel size products.
Delirious is the other set of 5 travel size eyeliners. This set features four new shades including a deep metallic purple and a bright metallic blue. Perversion the blackest black is in there too. I love the look of these and I think I will be asking for these on my christmas list. Again retailing at around €26 euro these are great value.
Next up we have the new Spectrum palette, this one was brought out to satisfy colour addictions world wide. It features never before seen shades aswell as some cult favourites. It cotains a rainbow of shades which can be matched up in a trio or mixed up for a wild look. This comes in a lovely black case with a detachable lid. The shadows you get are : Protest (golden forest green shimmer), Junkie (teal green shimmer), Deep End (bright teal shimmer), Madness (bright metallic blue shimmer with micro glitter), Evidence (deep navy blue shimmer), Prank (deep navy matte with turquoise pearl floating in it), Omen (bright metallic purple with blue undertones), Flashback (bright but deep purple micro glitter), Flatline (metallic pale pink), Bordello(pale mauve shimmer with gold micr glitter), Backlash (bright pink with orange hues), Daybreak (soft bronze with silver glitter) Burn (golden brown shimmer), and West (deep metallic brown shimmer). This one retails at €42 which is good value for the 15 shadows. Available on the 5th November. This palette is exclusive to Debenhams!
The Revolution Lipgloss Travel Size Duo is next, this set contains 2 of the most popular shades Liar and Anarchy. These give you high impact colour. Liar is the perfect pink/nude that works with any skin tone and Anarchy is a fuschia colour. These are ultra pigmented but super creamy and hydrating for the lips making them look plumper and fuller. This set retails at €21 and it is fab value for these two. I would almost call these liquid lipsticks the colour is so pigmented and you get two travel sizes for your twenty bucks. Definetly one to add to the list!
Total Pervsion Duo set is next up on the Holiday list, This contains the blackest black shade of mascara and eyeliner. The eyeliner gives intense black colour that lasts all day with a creamy feel. It glides on soft and stays creamy which is ideal for blending and dries to a long lasting finish. Perversion mascara is ultra creamy, lengthening and volumizing which coats each lash with a triple black pigment. It never gets brittle or clumpy and gives the blackest of black shades on the lashes. This is retailing at €28 which is excellent value considering the eyeliner is €18 normally and the mascara is €22. So you are getting 2 for the price of one here.
So there ya have the new Holiday collection. There are so many good value products there, the travel sets are ideal for stocking fillers, or if you want to try the products without shelling out an awful lot of money then these are ideal. These hit stores on the 5th November and cannot wait to see what everyone thinks of them. Special word of thanks to Laura and all the girls in Urban Decay for hosting the second one of these nights and I cannot wait for the next one. In our goody bags we got a sample of the All Nighter setting spray, a sample of the revolution lipsticks and a fab voucher to get our makeup done at the counter. Anyone tempted by any of the products?
