I love these Adult Colouring Books, and I have previously reviewed this brand here. I received this Second One and Only Mandala one in the post and oh was I so excited to try these. Upon opening the book I immediately fell in love with the designs. Mandala designs “Mandala” is a Sanskrit word which means a circle, and metaphorically a universe, environment or community. For centuries, in many cultures (eg Tibet), the Mandala is used as a tool to facilitate meditation. Those suggested here are of various styles and levels of difficulty, ranging from complex to complex! These books are designed to help anyone who is suffering with anxiety, depression, are housebound, sick, or just in general like to colour. Colouring has been found to ease the mind and it lets it flow freely as when you sit down to colour the only things running through your head is what colour to use next.
Lets have a look at some of the Mandalas I have completed:
I have to say I love these books, I have since received an enormous one and cannot wait to get started on it. I personally find these books so relaxing, my mam has also started to colour now and finds it a great way to relax. The Second One and Only Mandala Colouring Book is the second in a series of books with mandalas to color. There are 72 pages to this book, with pictures on each side of a page. The pages are more square than long. Mandalas are known to be a source of meditation and wisdom. I'm sure I don't get any wiser coloring from this book, but it sure is calming and soothing. I have tried other companies books but these ones from Phoenix Yard are the best by far. Just look at some of the mandalas I have yet to complete.
The Second one and only is available to buy from Book Depository, Easons and Amazon. The high quality paper means a variety of mediums from pen, paint, pastel or pencil can be used. Sit back, start colouring and leave the stresses of everyday life behind. Has anyone tried these Adult Colouring Books what do you think?
