Joico Colour Balance Blue Shampoo

Introducing Joico’s New Color Balance Blue shampoo and conditioner. Now you can kick that brass and stay true to your hue with this shampoo and conditioner that instantly neutralizes unwanted brassiness. A few weeks ago the lovely Eileen sent me on the latest Colour Balance Shampoo and Conditoner from Joico. I have been loving the Joico products, I have the volume, and dry range and I am loving them. There a salon brand and they really do make a difference to the quality of your hair. I was very intrigued by the new blue shampoo for blondes or brown hair with blonde balyage. The true-blue formula color-corrects on contact, instantly banishing those overly warm, orange tones that tend turn up in graduated dark hair that’s been chemically lightened. Bonus: It preserves 89 percent of your precious hair-color for nearly eight full weeks by bonding to hair fibers like a new best friend.

The inside secret: Multi-Spectrum Defense Complex helps protect color against fading, while our Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex delivers root-to-tip repair, protection, frizz-fighters, and shine with each and every use.

Key Features & Benefits

• Instantly neutralizes unwanted brassy/orange tones in lightened naturally dark brunette hair

• Preserves 89% of haircolor for up to 18 washes (or 6 to 8 weeks) when both Color Balance Blue shampoo and conditioner are used

• Tone-correcting pigments bond to the hair fibers (not your shower tiles!) + stay attached through regular shampooing

• Multi-Spectrum Defense Complex helps protect color against fading

• Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex™ delivers root-to-tip repair + protection for healthier hair with every use

• Boosts shine + reduces frizz

So this product is very interesting. The shampoo is dark blue and the conditioner is light blue. The shampoo had a light smell that was very pleasant, and the conditioner smells great and has a stronger scent. The shampoo is a really bright blue color. This is due to the pigmentation correction going on with the lightening and the blue. It does leave a small tinge of blue on your hand but nothing that isn't solved by a second hand wash. I lightly blow dried my hair and I can honestly say I like the results. My hair is bright blonde and it looks very natural with lots of little highlights coming through. Now this is a toner shampoo so it can be drying, but I used this with the conditioner and my hair feels great! It's not super sleek/soft, but its nothing more than expecting as blue shampoos can be drying on hair. I feel like the color of my hair is defined in a good way) it looks great in the daylight, and no brassy undertones. I have been using it now for over a month twice a week and my colour looks great.

Perfect choice for: Naturally dark-brunette hair with salon highlights.Or blondes.

Here’s how: Massage into wet hair and allow the shampoo to absorb for three-to-five minutes, then rinse. Repeat the process two or three times per week, alternating with your regular shampoo.

What do ye think of the colour? I personally love it and it's perfect for coming into the summer.
