Sunday Snippet : Adorn.ie

Today's Sunday Snippet features the lovely Anita from Adorn.ie, Anita is a blogger I have been following for a long time now, and I was completely starstruck when I met her at the Cocoa Brown Passion Persistence Pink Event. I am planning on attending one of her nail courses if it all goes my way. Read on below for our interview.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Yes definitely. My name is Anita. I am an accountant by day but my real love is anything to do with the beauty industry. I am a qualified nail technician, makeup artist and an educator in both areas. I am also currently studying Beauty Therapy at Coogan Bergin in Dublin.

2. How did you get into blogging and why?

I was blogging on and off for a few years but then one day I just decided I wanted to do it for real and off I went. From a very young age I was obsessed with the beauty industry and was always too happy to tell people about my latest beauty find or give them beauty advice so I thought maybe there would be others out there who might enjoy it too.

3. What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?

WORK WORK WORK WORK. Lol. Yes I work a lot but the reason I do this is because at the moment I am working full time Monday to Friday and after work I like to do nails or makeup or do some college case studies.. I have a plan for the future so I am hoping 'over working' myself is only temporary and it will all pay off soon.

4. Are you a full time blogger?

How did you get into blogging and why? I am a part time blogger I just do it as a hobby. For the answer to the rest of the question you can have a look at question 2 above 😉

5. How do you keep coming up with content for your blog?

To be honest I do what comes natural to me because I cannot write or review something I am not passionate about. I am always true to myself and always think to myself "Would I read this if it wasn't my blog?". If the answer is yes then I am on to a winner.

6. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?

Oh the list is endless. For me the most important thing is honesty. I am not worried about how many thousand followers people have but more so are they true to themselves and their readers.

My blogging idols are:

The Ladies from Matte to Metallic inspire me every day. They are just two normal girls with huge talent and who were not afraid to follow their dream. Just what I want to be.

I also love and am a huge fan of Jacyln Hill. Ok. I know she is a YouTuber but I'm obsessed. Never mind the uber girl crush I have on her but she is just so talented and I love her makeup style and talent. Nikki Tutorials is another one. Seriously those girls have talent.

I also love Makeup Monster. I love her style of writing. Her pictures are amazing and her website is just class. Fab work. X

Seriously I could name another 50. Basically at some point during the month I read everyone's blog lol. Please excuse me if I left anyone out but rest assured I read your blog. I am pretty obsessed with reading reviews and stuff. Eeekk

8.What makes you read the above blogs?

I like these blogs because they are honest, fun and informative. That's everything I look for in a blog.

9. Tell us something we don't know about you?

I am extremely hard on my self and I constantly strive for perfection. I know perfection doesn't exist but if I can try get my work close to it without beating myself down in the meantime I will be a happy lady.. I am learning though. I know it might sound like the typical cliché but it's actually so true in my case.
