Tomas from Conefreys sent me this Moogoo Milk Shampoo a few weeks back and I have been trialling it since. So who are MooGoo? They are fragrance free, pH balanced, mineral oil free, and contain no essential oils because they tend to aggravate sensitive skin, and the whole line is made to be baby friendly as well as sensitive skin friendly. I've been struggling with my scalp and hair the last few months - whenever I found a shampoo my hair liked, either my scalp would flake and itch

So if you : 

1. If you use harsh detergent type cleanser on your scalp it is going to irritate the scalp, making any dandruff situation worse, and stimulating over production of oils. 

2. Some of the harshest detergent ingredients in commercially available cleansers/shampoos are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate followed by Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

This product foams fairly well, but I find that you have to work it into your hair a little more than with other shampoos. Because the cleansing ingredients are so gentle, MooGoo advises that oily hair types may need to ‘double cleanse’ if you’ve gone awhile without washing your hair. The shampoo is creamy but with a slightly runny consistency. With this shampoo, I usually need to wash my hair twice. My first wash would be mainly for the scalp and secondly, working from scalp to hair ends. Because this is a gentle shampoo, it does not foam as much as regular shampoos do. The smell is pleasant, somewhat reminds me of baby talc and has an identical scent as their Udder Cream. After rinsing, I was surprised that it leaves my hair pretty soft, while not weighing it down. As I read the ingredients again, this shampoo contains glycol Distearate Guarsilk, which is a conditioner. The shampoo scent is very soft and subtle, which is great since highly scented shampoos tend to interfere with my perfume choices. 

My hair does seem to stay nice and voluminous using this shampoo and it stays clean. I normally suffer with oilyness but not using this shampoo. So not only does it soothe irritated skin and scalp it keeps oil at bay. This one is a definite all rounder and will suit all the family. It retails at €14.95 and is amazing value.
