Good morning, today's Sunday Snippet features the lovely Louise from Beyoutyfulyou, she's living in Oz but is on the way home to Ireland in a few weeks. I love her blog and it ranges from beauty, fashion, travel and food. Its so nice as her blog is diverse and no two posts are similar.
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My named is Louise. I’m 27, Irish and currently living in Melbourne Australia. I absolutely love Australia but I’m looking forward to coming home for good at the end of May (BIG changes ahead!). I own the blog beyoutyfulyou . I also am a writer for a blog called The Beauty Dial owned by Edel Cox. I love all things girly; I’m obsessed with anything beauty related. I also love to cook and travel.
2. How did you get into blogging and why?
I’m always talking about beauty products so my friends encouraged me to start a blog. They found what I had to say was helpful so I thought I’d start a blog to help a large number of people. Along with blogging about beauty, I write about cooking including gluten free recipes and weightloss. I also write about travelling and my experience in Australia. I had a couple of emails from people who said I had really helped them and I got a bit of a buzz from that. My big aim is to help people.
Another reason to blog is that it helps me to switch off at night. My day job can be really stressful so I love blogging as a distraction and something else to think about.
3. What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?
Besides my day job, I blog all the time! If I’m not writing a post or taking pictures then I’m reaching out on social media or coming up with new ideas. Blogging is enjoyable full time gig for me. When I actually put my phone down, I enjoy going to the gym, shopping and watching movies or reality TV (my weakness)!
4. Are you a full time blogger? How did you get into blogging and why?
No. I like having my blog as a hobby.
5. How do you keep coming up with content for your blog?
Ideas are always popping into my head. I use the notes app on my iPhone to keep a list of posts I want to write about. I always have something beauty related in mind because there’s always a product coming out so this makes it a little easier. When it comes to my travel content it can be a little harder because I’m not always travelling but it’s a good excuse to book something!
6. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
I read a lot of blogs I look up to a lot of bloggers for a lot of different reasons.
The first blogger I started following was probably Suzanne Jackson from SoSueMe. I really admire how far she has come with blogging and making a name for herself in the beauty industry.
I really look up to Edel from The Beauty Dial. She’s very knowledgeable about blogging and I’ve gained so much experience and I’ve learned a lot from writing for her blog. I feel like she gave me a real chance and it built up my confidence in writing my own blog and putting myself out there.
I love Grace from FacesbyGrace because I really relate to some of her mental health issues. I think she’s really brave for sharing her story in the hope of helping people. I also feel this way about Rosemary MacCabe as I think she’s help to normalise anti-depressants and going to counselling.
I also love Susan Jordan, Cherry Sue Doin’ The Do. She’s honest and is always helpful in posting her blogging advice and experiences. I find what she has to say very interesting and would love to someday help other people in this way too.
I also love Sinead from The Beautiful Truth. She is just so honest and has created a huge following from being straight forward and just saying it how it is. I love that in a person.
Lorraine from John It’s Only Makeup is also a big favourite of mine. I feel like she’s really welcomed me into the blogging community probably without realising it! She is a real expert when it comes to skincare and makeup so I always read and enjoy her posts.
Joanne Larby is also a fantastic blogger. She comes across so professional and a real inspiration when it comes to fitness. She makes every woman feel like they could get to where she is too.
I feel like I could go on and on with this!! I would really love to meet all of these bloggers and so many more when I return to Ireland.
7. Name the top blogs you read?

Fabulousfunlife.blogspot.com
FashionistaInSuburbia.com

8.What makes you read the above blogs?
I relate to all these bloggers in different ways, some for fitness, some for beauty, some for honesty, some for their experiences, knowledge and how helpful they are. It’s important to also feel someone’s passion and see how much they put into creating their content.
9. Tell us something we don't know about you?
I’m furthering my beauty knowledge this year and doing a makeup course with VanityX in July. I’d love to start doing makeup on the side so watch this space! Also on my list of things to do is learn to drive. At 27 I think it’s about time!
