A few months back Tomas from Conefreys Pharmacy sent me out some Sequaderma products. They were a brand I had never heard of before but after using the Ageing Thinning Skin I was very impressed. Check out the review here. I had all 5 in the range but didn't have a need to use some of them. Over the past two weeks my skin has been reactive and breaking out. I had the need to use my Acne Prone Skin.
What is SEQUADERMA Acne Prone Skin?
Sequaderma is an active dermatology solution for care of ACNE prone skin. Acne prone skin is skin which has blackheads{comedones}, blemishes, papules, pustules, any skin impurities.
How does it work?
Sebum is an oily substance that is secreted by sebaceous glands to lubricate and waterproof the skin. When produced in excess, this secretion can trap dirt and bacteria which are a primary cause of spots and acne. SEQUADERMA reduces excess sebum by up to 55%, to help prevent the formation of spots and blackheads. It provides an effective antimicrobial action to cleanse the skin and remove bacteria helping to boost the products spot-preventing properties.
SEQUADERMA Acne Prone Skin can be used to treat the following:
Blackheads
Skin impurities
Blemishes
How to use it:
Twice-a-day, spread a suitable amount over the problem area and leave until it is touch-dry to activate the penetrative action of Sequessome™ Technology. The gel layer applied to the skin provides an active delivery environment that allows Sequessome™ vesicles to cross the skin and in addition treat superficial problems. Once dried, the Sequessome™ vesicles are contained deep within the skin and the residual gel layer can be washed off or wiped away with a wet tissue prior to carrying on with your skincare routine.
Key Ingredients: Zinc, Glycerol/Glycerin and purified Plant Phospholipids.
Zinc is a soothing and purifying ingredient while it's anti-irritant and anti-oxidative properties help combat detrimental processes occurring in the skin. Several skincare research studies point to a potential correlation between low levels of zinc in the body and the development of breakouts. The effectiveness of zinc for acne may lie in several attributes, such as: killing bacteria that cause red bumps during breakouts and clearing pores; reducing overall inflammation; rebalancing sebum secretion and purifying the skin.
Glycerol or Glycerin is a humectant and extremely hygroscopic, absorbing water from other sources. It attracts water from the environment and from the lower layers of skin (dermis) increasing the amount of water in the surface layers of skin. Glycerol is a skin-identical ingredient and is one of the many substances in skin that help maintain the outer barrier and prevent dryness or scaling.
Phospholipids are fat based molecules that form the lipid membrane of every living cell. They are broken down by the normal body processes and do not accumulate within the body.
So how did I get on with the serum? Well I think the results speak for themselves really.
My breakouts are just about completely gone now so with some further use they will be gone and I will be back to normal again. These weren't normal breakouts they were acne breakouts so I have 100% faith that this serum will work wonders for anyone who suffers with acne. Available from Conefreys Pharmacy for €30 it really is a gamechanger in the world of blemishes.
