Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) – Common plasticizer, Linked to cancer. Health concerns include problems in the endocrine system, increased risk of diabetes in women, nausea, it’s an irritant, causes reproductive issues and has been linked to birth defects.

Formaldehyde – Naturally occurring organic compound that is a gas at room temperature. Known carcinogen – meaning causes cancer. Health concerns include allergic reactions, breathing issues (coughing, asthma-like symptoms, wheezing, etc.), it’s an irritant, linked to lung and nasal cancers.

Toluene – Derived from petroleum and commonly used as a solvent to dissolve or combine other chemicals. Health concerns include dizziness, dry skin, it’s an irritant, causes headaches, liver and kidney damage, nausea, numbness, and has been linked to birth defects.

I was lucky enough to receive some products from the range by Monika the brand distributor in Ireland. Below are some of the products I received. I want to focus on the gel polishes in this post and then in the next post I will focus on the gel paints. Below are some of the products I received.

I have not got to use them all but I have swatched them all below. 

The colours are fantastic, highly pigmented and very easy to work with. All of the colors have one significant feature: their application is extremely easy and so precise. The brush is very precise, the texture  can make the application easier and precise. The product doesn't spread onto the cuticles, it just stays exactly where applied and doesn't run which is great as other brands run all over the nail. Pigmentation is excellent whether its one or two layers which are applied. Makear offers over 300 shades.

Top no Wipe is a new one to me as it is my first time using it. It shines majestically and it keeps the glow until the next visit. My nails are currently on three weeks and still like new. This top is also long lasting. It doesn't crack, doesn't have the unpleasant smell. Similarly to the gel polishes, working on this top is very easy. Check out the two sets i done below using the Makear polishes.
