A few weeks back now I was lucky enough to be invited to the exclusive Real techniques event in Wexford Town. It was the amazing launch of the new Multi Tech Collection of brushes which has since launched in all Irish stockists. Jade Mullett was the host on the night. Jade is the brand ambassador for Real Techniques. I felt really humbled to be among stars such as Michelle Fox, Ruth Bergin and Sue Brophy. I really was just a small fish compared to some of the amazing people there.
So on the night myself and Lisa from Cuddles and Contouring headed off to Wexford Town to Boa Urban Eatery, where were we enjoyed a prosecco arrival followed by an amazing four course meal. There was a fabulous table runner made from flowers which was designed and provided by Lily Bloom Florist.
We mingled and then it was time to sit down to dinner. Now when I say the food was out of this world oh baby jebus i'd go back now if i could lol. Boa Urban Eatery is an amazing place to eat and if i hear of anyone i know going to Wexford I recommend they go there.
Oh god take me back please, the thoughts of sitting down to that unbelievable food now would be just divine. So after the meal we were treated to some information all about the new collection. I own a fair few Real Techniques brushes but the one thing that struck me about this collection is rather than being named by foundation brush, eyeshadow etc they are named by size, xs to xxxl which makes them multi function. There is no set function for any of the brushes.
Look at how fabulous this looks. The small point set is perfect for detailing smaller areas of the face. Point S can be used for all over shading, concealer, contour lines even highlighter. Point XS can be used for colour correcting, concealer or in the crease. Point XXS can be used for detailed highlighting, detailed shadow or blending lip colours. Point XXXS can be used to fill in brows, smoke out liner, smudge liner or lip detailing.
The Point L is one of the larger brushes in the collection, which I love to use for foundation, but it can also be used for blusher or bronzers or even powder.
The next one up is the Point XL again a large brush but slightly bigger than the L. This again can be used for the whole face, or for powder or blending.
The Point XXL is massive, this really is a huge brush, Its amazing for adding bronzer to the body such as the neck and chest area.
And finally the new point makeup sponge, I love my real techniques sponges, they bounce on the skin. I have high hopes for this one. You can use the pointed end for precise work or the wide base for blending.
I love the way the brushes are multi use and can be used with different angle for different types of work from precision to blending. It really is a fabulous collection and we were spoilt rotten by the ladies in Brandshapers Lisa and Jenni who looked after our every whim. We even had Corner Boy as our entertainment. It was a fantastic event and the likes of it has never happened down this end of the country until now. Dublin watch out the South East is coming for ya.
Amazing amazing event, I had a wonderful time, thanks to Jenni and Lisa for having me. Make sure you pick up the new collection from your nearest stockist.
